00Portfolio sites from what you already have

One address for everything you’ve built.

Loom reads your GitHub, the PDF LinkedIn exports and your résumé, and builds one portfolio that people explore rather than scroll. Every night it checks GitHub again, so it keeps up without you.

01The problem

Right now your work lives in three places. None of them were made to show it off.

  1. 01 — github.com/you

Your best repo sits between a 2019 tutorial fork and something called test-final-2.

  2. 02 — linkedin.com/in/you

Your career, served between a webinar invite and a stranger’s 5am routine.

  3. 03 — resume_final_v7_REAL.pdf

Accurate on the day you saved it. You have shipped things since.

02Anatomy

Anatomy of a portfolio

A real Loom portfolio, labelled. Every part of it came from something you already keep, and anything you change afterwards is yours.

  1. headline · from LinkedIn
  2. current role · from your résumé
  3. projects · from GitHub
  4. edited by you · stays put

03How it works

Four steps. Most of them are ours.

You bring the raw material. Loom reads it, sorts it and lays it out. You get the final say on every word.

  1. 01

    Sign in with GitHub

One click. It is also how Loom knows which repositories are yours.

    no forms, no passwords

  2. 02

    Hand over what you have

Your GitHub username, the PDF LinkedIn makes when you press “Save to PDF”, your résumé. Any one works; all three make a fuller portfolio.

    github · linkedin.pdf · résumé.pdf

  3. 03

    Correct what we got wrong

Everything lands in an editor first. Rewrite a title, cut a project, add the thing you forgot. Nothing is public yet.

    every field is editable

  4. 04

    Pick a theme. Publish.

Eight themes, and none of them is a page to scroll: each is a place visitors explore, built from your real content. Publish and you are live at an address you can paste anywhere.

    loom.buildspace.cv/u/you

04Themes

Eight places to meet you.

None of them is a page to scroll. Pick one and use it: this is the real theme, running a sample profile, Ada’s, until it is yours. Switch any time; your words stay put.

05Keeps itself current

Ship on Tuesday. Your portfolio knows by Wednesday.

06Recruiter view

A version for people with 200 tabs open.

fig. — loom.buildspace.cv/u/ada?view=recruiter

Not everyone has time to explore. Add ?view=recruiter to your link and the same profile becomes one dense, printable column: who, doing what, since when, with which tools, and how to reach you.

  • a.One link to paste straight into an application
  • b.A Save as PDF button that never splits a role across pages
  • c.Your chosen theme stays as it is for everyone else

07Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

01Do I need all three sources?

No. Any one of them gets you a portfolio. GitHub brings the projects; a résumé or LinkedIn PDF brings the career. More sources, fuller portfolio.

02Will a sync undo my edits?

No. Anything you change on the review screen is marked as yours. The nightly sync only replaces projects that came from GitHub, and drops any incoming repository that shares a name with one you have edited.

03How often does it sync?

Every night at 04:00 UTC, for published portfolios with a GitHub account attached. If you can’t wait, press sync on your dashboard.

04Can I change my theme later?

Any time, from the dashboard. Your content stays exactly where it is; only the world it lives in changes.

05Who sees my portfolio before I publish?

Only you. A draft is visible to its owner and nobody else, and you can unpublish from the dashboard whenever you like.

06Can I use my own domain?

Not yet. Every portfolio lives at loom.buildspace.cv/u/yourhandle for now, which is short enough for a bio, a CV or an email signature.
